A CHRISTMAS TO REMEMBER

We Filipinos, especially Roman Catholics celebrate Christmas traditionally. Where people have their reunions, attend gatherings, join the Christmas activities and of course go to church. As 'ber' months begin we can hear different Christmas songs and we started to decorate our houses. It's really fun to celebrate Christmas but as I always say in my blog, pandemic changes everything.
As Covid 19 pandemic boomed we changed our ways to celebrate holidays because we need to follow the protocols. In Vigan City they give gifts to the Bigueño's, like spaghetti packs, ham and other foods that we can prepare on Christmas eve. They still conduct activities where Bigueño's can join and have fun. Most of these activities are conducted online to ensure the safety of people.

There is still 'Simbang Gabi' and only few people are allowed to enter the church. For the people who want to attend the mass but they can't they can watch or listen to the radio, tv and Facebook live. We can also watch the Christmas tree light opening live online. There's a lot of activities we can do online.
Overall, despite of Covid 19 pandemic we still find ways to celebrate Christmas and put smiles on people's faces. The pandemic might affect our Christmas but it won't stop us from feeling the essence of it. That makes this and every Christmas worth remembering.
